Hello,

I have an app in Linux / Apache / MySQL / Django and the app appears to be down. When I try to go the app in prod or sandbox the wheel just spins and then it times out. I tried pausing and restarting the VM which had no effect and did a ping and the engine came back with "The Django service is active and running. I am ready for your next command.". Please advise.

To clarify, it was working well for several hours after the last change, Then just stopped working.

Our logs show the app is hitting out of memory. That might causing the slow-downs and Gemini failures.

Quick questions to confirm the load: 1 - About how many active users do you have now? 2 - Any recent traffic spikes or heavy background tasks? 3 - Have you added larger AI prompts or file uploads lately?

Your Current server tier: - 2 vCPU / 1 GB RAM - Cost: 0.25 credit per day

We can move you to the next tier (2 vCPU / 2 GB RAM) right away. - Doubles the memory. Should clear the bottleneck - New cost: 0.5 credit per day - Downtime: few minutes during resize

Let me know if you would like us to switch the instance, or if you prefer another option.

Just in case, we also have "e2-medium" option for virtual machine. = 2vCPU +4GB memory (1credit / day)

Hi Erik. Thank you for your quick response. I will have maybe 5-6 users on the app so we will likely need to move to the next tier - 2CPU / 2GB. Can we do that right away?
