Optelos positions itself as a visual intelligence platform for the built world and an AI-powered inspection platform for asset-intensive industries. The product brings together visual data, digital twins, AI analytics, and collaboration workflows so customers can understand asset conditions, detect risks, and act faster.

Telecom is one important use case, but not the only one. Optelos serves inspection-heavy workflows across telecom, utilities, manufacturing, oil and gas, commercial facilities, and drone service providers. Flatlogic has been Optelos's long-term product and AI engineering partner, helping the company evolve the platform from core delivery into advanced AI-assisted inspection workflows.

Business challenges

Inspection-heavy businesses generate huge amounts of visual data, but the operational value is often trapped in silos. Images, LiDAR, point clouds, engineering documents, annotations, and reports end up scattered across separate tools and storage locations, making it hard for teams to form a reliable picture of real asset conditions.

That fragmentation slows down inspections, defect review, compliance workflows, and decision-making. Teams still need a practical way to ingest raw field data, turn it into structured digital twins, run measurements and AI analytics, and route the results to the right people without forcing everyone to swivel between disconnected systems.

In telecom, one version of that pain is as-built versus design validation for towers and shelters. In utilities and industrial environments, it can be fault detection, corrosion review, compliance verification, turnaround planning, or contractor reporting. The platform needed to be broad enough to support these different inspection workflows while keeping one consistent data and AI foundation.

Our role

Flatlogic became Optelos's long-term engineering partner and stayed involved well beyond the initial launch. We helped accelerate the product on top of our Sing App Angular Template, then continued owning the AI-heavy integrations and product workflows that make the platform valuable in production.

Our work included 3D point cloud reconstruction workflows, extracting real objects from 3D clouds, defect-detection flows, and AI-based extraction of structured data from specifications and engineering documents. Those capabilities gave Optelos a practical bridge between raw inspection data and usable operational insight.

We also shipped product interfaces and operational workflows that let engineering, field, safety, and maintenance teams review measurements, inspect anomalies, compare current conditions against documentation, and collaborate in one place instead of jumping between disconnected tools.

Solution

Together, Optelos and Flatlogic built a platform that does more than store inspection data. The system ingests visual data from multiple sources, transforms it into contextualized 2D and 3D models, and gives teams one place to manage inspection workflows from capture through analysis, reporting, and delivery.

AI-assisted workflows help teams label data, isolate the right objects, detect visible defects, geolocate issues, and turn specifications into structured comparison inputs. That moves inspection programs from slow manual cross-checking toward faster, repeatable, and more scalable review.

The result is a flexible inspection platform that supports multiple industries while still handling concrete use cases like telecom tower validation, utility fault detection, industrial defect review, and contractor deliverables. Optelos can now support digital twins, AI analytics, measurements, reporting, and collaboration across work groups with one shared source of truth.
