We’re excited to announce the release of our Full-stack Community Template – an open-source starter template for Flatlogic Generator built with Next.js + Node.js, allowing you to quickly build full-stack applications with modern architecture. Opposed to the current Standard template, downloading the derivative source code is free.
What makes this template different from a typical boilerplate is that it’s not static. It’s meant to grow and improve over time, with help from the community. Users who use it can add new features, fix issues, and suggest changes based on real needs. If you want to start a project without paying for a license and still have full control over the code, this template gives you a solid base that will keep getting better with community support.
🔧 How to use the Community Template in Flatlogic Generator
Getting started with the free Community Template is quick and simple. Here’s how:
- Sign up at flatlogic.com or log in to your account
- Start a new project
- Select the “Full-stack Community” at the top of the template selection screen (see screenshot)

- Describe your app in plain text — our AI will help generate the structure
- Review the generated schema (you can edit entities, fields, and relationships)
- Generate the app
- Once it’s ready, you can:
- Deploy instantly to the cloud
- Download the full source code for free
- Connect your GitHub repo (from the “Settings” tab) — no extra cost

🤝 Open GitHub Repository and Community Contributions
To support this initiative, we’re making the full source code of the Community Template freely available for download and opening the GitHub repository to the public. Anyone can contribute updates, submit feature improvements, or raise issues.
This is a key step in our long-term strategy to grow Flatlogic through community collaboration. Rather than being a fixed boilerplate, the template evolves as developers build on it, together improving its functionality, structure, and real-world usefulness.

What’s next
The Flatlogic team is currently validating the following additions:
- Bootstrap‑based theming – global Sass variables for rapid white‑labelling.
- Public‑facing pages – native CRUD pages for storefronts, blogs, and listings.
- Stripe payments – built‑in endpoints and webhooks for subscriptions and one‑time charges.
- Mobile apps (React Native) – use the generated backend as the data layer for native iOS / Android clients.
